Everything you need for your communications

Hey, nature conservation supporters!

Welcome to the Wilderness International Community. Thank you for your donation to environmental protection – it helps to preserve endangered rainforest areas and old-growth forests that are thousands of years old!

Here you’ll find information and logos, as well as images, which you can use to publicise your donation to Wilderness International.

Information regarding your nature conservation donation

Supporter or partner? As a donating organisation, you may call yourselves ‘Nature Conservation Supporters of Wilderness International’. Please do not use the term ‘partner’. We define partnerships as long-term strategic collaborations with partners, which are preceded by a thorough mutual assessment and require a minimum commitment of 10,000 square metres per year. Are you interested in a partnership? Get in touch with us!

A question of choosing the right words

There are many terms floating around in the world of environmental protection. Clarity, transparency and accuracy are important to us. Please therefore use:

  • “Carbon-offset” instead of “carbon-neutral” Neutrality does not exist in this sense – your emissions remain emissions.
  • “Intact” rather than “untouched” nature. Rainforests are intact ecosystems, but not necessarily untouched ones. Other alternatives: undisturbed, unique, fantastic, species-rich, temperate/tropical rainforest
  • “Stabilise the climate” instead of “climate protection” You cannot protect the climate. We can halt climate change, stabilise the climate or ensure a healthy climate.
  • "Rainforest protected" instead of "purchased" As a supporter, you are not “buying” the forest, but rather supporting the three Wilderness International foundations in Peru, Canada and Germany. Your donation helps fund the purchase and enables its long-term protection. It is a symbolic sponsorship.
