With every purchase of Robert Marc Lehmann’s calendar, one square metre of old-growth forest is protected for ever! With the new edition of the 2027 calendar, Robert is joining forces with myMerch – the shop through which Robert’s products are sold – to support the protection of endangered rainforests: 50 per cent of the donated amount comes directly from myMerch.
Impressions from the nature reserve
In the Madre de Dios region of Peru, there are 10 times as many reptiles and amphibians as in Germany; around 10 per cent of the world’s bird species can be observed here; and in one hectare of forest, one can find around 400 tree species – more than in the whole of Europe north of the Alps.
The photographs in Robert’s calendar were taken during his expeditions – for example, here in Peru with Wilderness International.
The view over the rainforest canopy is unique. Some of these giant trees can grow to over 70 metres in height!
Massive buttress roots give these primeval forest giants stability.
The rainforest canopy is teeming with life. More than 60 per cent of all animal and plant species live there!
Among them was this sceptical little capuchin monkey ...
... and these colourful macaws, which build their nests only in the crowns of the tallest and oldest trees.
